Experimental Investigation of the High Temperatures Effects on Self-Compacting Concrete Properties

Self-compacting concrete (SCC), which appeared in the 1980s Japan, is a that differs from others by its high fluidity. The constituents of SCC can be quite different those ordinary concretes. They differ both their proportions and choice. Given method installation SCCs, particular attention paid to study physical mechanical characteristics. In this context, experimental tests were conducted assess effect temperatures on behavior SCC. For purpose, (OC) tested at 20, 150, 300, 450, 600 ∘C. Prismatic specimens dimensions 100 × 400 mm3, cylindrical 160 320 mm, parallelepiped 270 40 mm3 prepared for (thermal conductivity) (compressive strength, elastic modulus, flexural ultrasonic pulse velocity) tests. results showed an increase compressive strength between 150 300 ∘C following additional hydration cementitious matrix. residual concretes decreases progressively with temperature. This reduction about 90% 450 also thermal conductivity as temperature increases reach value 1.2 W/mK heating
